Since anyone can contribute, ask grandparents, uncles, aunts, and close friends to consider giving a gift that can have a lasting impact. Our printable gift announcements are an easy way to follow up with family and friends and bring them into the process of saving for college.

Here's how to use them:
1. Talk with your family and friends about making a contribution to a 529 savings account. For those who respond positively, follow up with a gift announcement.
2. Select your gift announcement below, then download and print.
3. Download and print the accompanying contribution slip and fill in the information for Account Holder name, Beneficiary name, Portfolio name(s) and Account number(s).
4. Send the gift announcement and contribution slip to the family member or friend and ask them to make a contribution to the 529 savings plan by filling in the remaining information on the contribution slip, and sending it with a payment by check to the mailing address on the slip.
5. Explain that after making a contribution, the donor can send an announcement to inform the child (or the Account Holder) that a gift has been made to their college savings plan.
